 Lhakpa Ri is regarded as the highest trekking peak in the world superbly positioned and historically significant peak lying directly opposite Everest's Northeast Ridge, on the watershed between the East Rongbuk and Kharta glaciers. Bill Tilman made the first ascent of this peak during the 1936 Everest Reconnaissance Expedition. We begin our journey by drive with a scenic Tibetan plateau to Base camp & the trek towards the footsteps of George Mallory to the Everest North Ridge expedition route, to the high camp from ABC and then to summit.
