Lhakpa Ri ExpeditionLhakpa Ri is regarded as the highest trekking peak in the world superbly positioned and historically significant peak lying directly opposite Everest's Northeast Ridge, on the watershed between the East Rongbuk and Kharta glaciers. Bill Tilman made the first ascent of this peak during the 1936 Everest Reconnaissance Expedition. We begin our journey by drive with a scenic Tibetan plateau to Base camp & the trek towards the footsteps of George Mallory to the Everest North Ridge expedition route, to the high camp from ABC and then to summit.

 Expedition Itinerary

Day 01:

Arrive Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Day 02-03:

Kathmandu Sightseeing/preparation.

Day 04:

Drive Kathmandu to Zhangmu & further Nyalam.

Day 06:

Drive to Xegar .

Day 07:

Acclimatization day.

Day 08:

Drive to Base Camp.

Day 09-23:

Climbing period of Mt. Lhakpa Ri .

Day 24-27:

Return to Base Camp & drive to Kathmandu .

Day 28:

At leisure in Kathmandu .

Day 29:

International departure.


Full board expedition service upto the summit
 Service includes:
  • 4 nights Hotel accommodation on twin sharing bed & breakfast basis in Kathmandu & full board in Tibet as per itinerary,
  • Permit fee of Mt. Lhakpa Ri ,
  • Professional climbing Sherpa, Base Camp Cook, Kitchen helper and 1 Chinese liaison officer & interpreter,
  • Equipment allowance, daily wages, insurance of above mentioned staffs,
  • Yaks for transport from Base Camp to ABC and back to BC and yak drivers.
  • All Base Camp food, fuel accommodation for member & staffs,
  • Road maintenance fee, environment fee,
  • All member & staff Chinese visa fee,

  • Lunch & dinner in Kathmandu ,
  • Drinks, laundry, postage, telephone bills, all items of personal nature,
  • Custom duties on expedition goods arrived by air cargo to Nepal ,
  • Departure tax at Kathmandu int'l airport,
  • Nepal re-entry visa fee,
  • Personal travel, Accidental & Medical insurance of member,
  • Emergency transportation if required,
  • Respective expenses if one returns earlier from the expedition due to sickness or emergency purpose.
