Fascinating trek to the world's 5th Highest 8000 m Mountain through least trekked areas of Nepal

This trek offers one of the most spectacular, outstanding scenery from lush tropical green of Arun Valley up to the high remorseless ice fields of Mt. Makalu , the fifth highest mountain in the world, situated in the north east of Nepal .

The trek starts from Arun Valley following the rural areas, through fascinating medieval traditional markets and farm villages, this walk-in follows picturesque and rarely trekked route, offering views of Mt. Makalu and Kanchenjunga all the way, more stunning views of the Mt. Khumbakarna Range as you enter the Barun valley of Makalu basin. From here, the trek passes over the yak pastures beneath the Makalu's towering south face along with the great view of one of the rare east (Kanshung) face of Mt. Everest .

This adventurous and memorable journey ends at Tumlingtar with a sweeping scenic flight back to Kathmandu .

 Trekking Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu & transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Tour in Kathmandu .
Day 03-07: Fly Kathmandu & commence trek to Tashi Gaon.
Day 08-11: Trek to Shershong.
Day 12: Visit around Makalu Base Camp.
Day 13-20: Return trek to Tumlingtar.
Day 21: Fly Tumlingtar/Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. O/n Hotel.
Day 22: At leisure in Kathmandu . O/n Hotel.
Day 23: Transfer to airport for international departure.
 
  Cost includes
  • 4 Nights hotel accommodations in Kathmandu on bed and breakfast basis,
  • Round trip flight ticket: Kathmandu/Taplejung/Kathmandu with airport tax,
  • All food and accommodations for member and staffs throughout the trekking period as per itinerary in camps,
  • Complete camping equipments: member tent, staff  tent, chair table, mattress, toilet tent, dining tent, mess tent with logistical cooking utensils,
  • Daily wages, insurance, shelter, cloth of sardar(Nepalese guide), sherpa staffs, cook, cook helper and porters,
  • All land transportation, transfer from airport-hotel-airport,
  • National park permit,
  • City sightseeing tour as per itinerary with an experienced city tour guide,
  • First Aid Medical Kit (only for staff & porter),
  • Helicopter rescue arrangements,
  • Insurance of all Nepalese staffs,

  • I nternational flight ticket to/from Nepal ,
  • Expenses of personal nature & gratitude i.e. laundry, bar bills, telephone calls, drinks and other personal communication bills, breakfast, lunch and dinner in Kathmandu,
  • Personal insurance, and emergency rescue evacuation,
  • Personal clothing,
  • Airport tax(international departure),
  • Respective expenses if one returns earlier from the trip due to sickness or emergency purpose.
