Kanchenjunga expeditionLocated in Sikkim (India)-Nepal border as part of the Himalayan mountain range at longitude 27º 42' North and 88º 08' East, Kangchenjunga (8,586m/28.170 ft.) is the third highest mountain in the world. The other name of Kangchenjunga is Kangche Dzo-nga, Kachedzonga, and Kangchanfanga means "The Five Treasures of the Snow" in the local dialect referring its five summits all over 8000meters .

Kangchenjunga has 5 peaks, of which the true Summit is 8,586 metres / 28,169 feet. It was first climbed by a British expedition led by Charles Evans.
 Expedition Itinerary
Day 01 Arrival Katmandu.
Day 02-03 Official formalities/ Preparation.
Day 04 Fly Kathmandu/ Biratnagar.
Day 05 Fly Biratnagar / Suketar & commence trek.
Day 06-15 Trek to Kangchenjunga B.C.
Day 16-47 Climbing Period.
Day 48-57 Withdraw/cleaning up BC & trek to Suketar.
Day 58 Fly Suketar/Biratnagar/Kathmandu.
Day 61 International departure.

Full Board Service up to the Summit

  Service includes
  • 4 nights standard tourist class hotel accommodation in Kathmandu on twin sharing bed & breakfast basis,
  • Permit fee of Mt. Kangchenjunga,
  • All ground transportation including airport-hotel-airport transfers,
  • Professional high altitude climbing Sherpas,
  • Base Camp cook, Kitchen helper and Government Liaison officer,
  • Equipment allowance, daily wages and insurance for the above mentioned staff and liaison officer,
  • All Base Camp food, fuel and accommodation for member and Sherpa staffs throughout the expedition period and while trekking to/from Base Camp on full board basis,
  • Transportation of all food supply and the other equipments to/from Base Camp,
  • Complete BC equipments: member tent, staff tent, chair table, toilet tent, shower tent, Kitchen and dining tent,
  • 1 Gamow Bag (Hyperbaric Chamber), 1 Generator or Solar panel,
  • Garbage deposit fee,
  • Agency service charge and related administrative fees,
  • Emergency Helicopter rescue arrangements,
  • All High altitude tents, food, fuel and other group logistical equipments for member and climbing Sherpa,
  • Cargo clearance & duties fees,
  • Last farewell dinner in Kathmandu.

  • Air travel to/from Nepal,
  • Lunch and dinner in Kathmandu,
  • Drinks, laundry, postage, telephone bills and all items of personal nature,
  • Departure tax at Kathmandu int'l airport,
  • Satellite phone on renting US$ 300+ U$ 100 for 80 units,
  • Extra high altitude Sherpa if needed,
  • Personal travel, high risk, accidental and medical insurance of member,
  • Emergency rescue evacuations,
  • Respective expenses if one returns earlier from the expedition due to sickness or emergency purpose.
