Baruntse ExpeditionBaruntse is one the most significant peak lying close to Makalu, other 6,000m smaller peaks and between the Barun, Hongu and Imjatse valley of Khumbu. Geoff Harrow and Colin Todd first climbed this peak on 30th May 1954 by the South East Ridge, which we use for our ascent too.

      Our expedition starts from Lukla and then trek towards the Hinku valley to Base Camp and then after the successful ascent return via Amphulaptsa to Khumbu to make this expedition a memorable one.

 Expedition Itinerary
Day 01  Arrive Kathmandu & transfer to hotel.
Day 02-03  At leisure in Kathmandu.
Day 04  Kathmandu-Lukla and trek to Chhutenga.
Day 5-12  Trek to Baruntse Base Camp..
Day 13-25  Climbing period of Mt. Baruntse
Day 26-30  Withdraw Base Camp and trek down to Lukla via Namche.
Day 31  Fly Lukla-Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 32-33 At leisure/independent activities in Kathmandu.
Day 34 Transfer to airport for onward international destination.

Full Board Service up to the summit

 Service includes:
  • 6 nights tourist standard hotel accommodation in Kathmandu on twin sharing bed & breakfast basis,
  • Permit fee of Mt. Baruntse,
  • National park permit,
  • Flight ticket: Kathmandu-Lukla-Kathmandu,
  • Airport/hotel/airport transfers,
  • Cargo clearance & duties fees,
  • 1 Professional climbing sherpa for every 3 members,
  • 1 Base Camp cook, 1 Kitchen helper and 1 Government Liaison officer,
  • Equipment allowance, daily wages, insurance, food and shelter for above mentioned staff and Liaison officer,
  • All food, fuel and accommodation for member and Sherpa staffs throughout the expedition period at Base Camp and while going from Lukla to BC and back to Luklaon full board basis,
  • Complete Base Camp equipment: 1 tent per member, staff tent, chair table, toilet tent, shower tent, dining tent, and kitchen tent,
  • 5 porters per member from Beni to BC and 4 porters return from BC to Lukla per member,
  • Agency service charge, related administrative fees,
  • Emergency Helicopter rescue arrangements,
  • Last farewell dinner in Kathmandu,
 Cost excludes
  • Air travel to/from Nepal,
  • Lunch and Dinner in Kathmandu,
  • Drinks, laundry, postage, telephone bills, all items of personal nature,
  • Satellite phone U$ 600 on renting
  • High altitude equipment, food, fuel, tent and related equipments for member and climbing Sherpa,
  • Personal travel, high risk, accidental and medical insurance of member,
  • Emergency rescue evacuations,
  • Respective expenses if one returns earlier from the expedition due to sickness or emergency purpose.
